Receiving eight awards for innovative design in household and kitchen, automobile, and motorcycle products, BMW Group was named "Design Team of the Year" at the red dot Awards in Essen, Germany. BMW Group DesignworksUSA, won two of the eight red dot awards in the household and kitchen works category for the ecopod e1, a compact recycler for aluminum cans and plastic bottles, and Talea Touch, a fully automatic coffee percolator from Saeco.
