DesignworksUSA and JPL have explored common design tasks in the process of creating spacecraft and automobiles; together, we tackle common design tasks facing both organizations - shorter development cycles for products with similarly long life-spans, weight issues and stringent software reliability requirements.
Our organizations have collaborated on subjects as diverse as hydrogen strategy and creative visualization. Our designers have assisted in developing concepts for long-range spacecraft and articulating innovation processes. Our acumen at rapid visualization of complex ideas has proved invaluable to JPL programs, and has involved us with new areas of highly sophisticated problem solving that has greatly enriched our thinking.
